My kid is 7 years old and when he was born he had erbs palsy. His left arm was not working at all. But now it is 95% or may be more is working. His both arms are same size. His both hands are powerful that even he rides the bicycle of his 9 years old sister's 16" bicycle. His teacher has not felt this problem even his 9 months of academic year has been over.

I am interested to know that whether this problem will increase in him with the age as there is tremendous improvement from not working arm to 95% working arm in 7 years time without any treatment and a few irregular exercise.

    dear Shabab,

I am very glad to hear that your son's arm is functioning as you describe.
In a number of cases, we see spontaneous healing of the arm in the first few months after birth.
If your son's arm has recuperated so well and it is hardly recognizable as such, the future should look good for him.
Is there any difference in length or circumference of his arm? Is the colour different? Is it his dominant arm/hand?
If there is any visible difference, I suggest you keep an eye on this. If you do see a change for the worse, it might be an idea
to have it checked. If you son can play and keep up with the fine motor skills needed for school work therapy should not be needed.

    I wish you both well

    Esther
