Is normal to have restricted ROM and you are in the phase of recovery where you need to protect the site of surgery. The movements should be gentle to relieve stiffness and some of the pain.Paracetamol is the basic painkiller. You need to keep your good posture, with your shoulder back and chest up.You are using the sling?
If paracetamol does not work for you, ask the gp to prescribe you something for the pain.
Hi, thanks for your response. I contacted my surgeon and I was told to take Ibruprofen, that helped with the pain!. I am a lot better npo, literally no pain and it's coming close to two weeks post op. My ROM is also improved a lot. Just one question, when should I start formal physiotherapy? I have been given a few exercises to do to ensure I don't get a frozen shoulder, however I ant to move on to stretching and strengthening as soon as advisable.
