Hi
I have recently had an MRI scan that showed a tear to the cartilage in my left hip and a cyst. I am waiting for an appointment with a hip specialist, but the Dr who diagnosed me advised that he expected surgery will be required.
The question I have is, will I do more damage if i walk/cycle/swim? Due to years of pain my fitness has suffered and any walking etc is painful, but I am mindful that I want to lose a few pounds if I am due for hip surgery. I recently gave up smoking so whilst I had maintained my weight despite limited exercise, it has now started creeping up.
Thanks
