shoulder_posterior_stretch.jpg Hello Guys I was just wondering if there is an alternative I can do for this stretch.I am doing physio for costochondritis incorporating some scapula/back strengthening to open up my ribs.I told my physio of some shoulder pain to and she told me to do this stretch. However it's irritating my chest having to hold it for 30 seconds. Is there any alternatives I can try please.I do apologise for my ignorance I just didn't have time to ask a lot of questions in my short time slot with my physio.
Thank you
Scott

Just wondering, do you get any hands on treatment? In case the stretches are irritating your problem It seems to me not a good idea; Irritation of your problem may maintain your problem. Therefor ask your physiotherapist.
Furthermore; looking down is causing irritation seems to me more of a neck problem than Costochondritis. But having said this you have not given enough information for me to justify that statement.
Where pain? which movements pain? What sort of pain. Does coughing sneezing cause pain? and so on.
