    Brief Medical History Overview

Age: 25, Female, Presenting Problem Since: 4 days, Symptom Behaviour: remaining constant / minor fluctuation, Symptoms Worse (24hr Behaviour): I haven't noticed time of day having an affect on pain or stiffness / but through out the day it will feel a tiny bit better and then a tiny bit worse or visa versa, Aggravating Factors:: bending wrist down/forward especially - also bending wrist up/back - tiny bit of pain bending wrist out/toward pinky finger - no pain bending wrist in/toward thumb, Easing Factors:: icing & advil seem to have subdued some radiating pain toward thumb, but top/back of wrist pain seems consistent, No Investigations, No Diabetes, No history of High Blood Pressure, Medications: Vyvanse, No Osteoporosis, No Hx of Cancer, No Unexplained Weight Loss, No Bowel/Bladder issues, Other Info: No previous wrist injuries, or event that caused initial pain

    Major problem / Symptomatic Areas

Wrist, Hand - Posterior - Left

Pain on top of wrist especially when bending forward - no previous injury

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
Last Friday (4 days ago) my left wrist started feeling sore & stiff - I can't remember if it hurt right when I woke up or later in the day - I have never had a wrist injury in either wrist & this wasn't brought on by a fall or any traumatic event, but I HAVE had a couple ankle sprains in the past & from what I remember of those sprains the pain is very similar - just in my wrist instead.
-Limited range of motion & pain in wrist.
    -Painful to weight on.
-No swelling that I can tell.
-Tender to touch on top/back center of wrist, directly where joint bends - doesn't seem to be "mushy" or hard anywhere compared to unaffected wrist.
-No pain when grasping things or weakness in grip, but pain occurs if I try to lift the weight of whatever I'm holding.
-Sometimes pops/catches/cracks on the top center of wrist - if I move wrist in a circle a couple times I can usually get it to do this.

    Location of pain:
-Center back/top of my wrist, directly where my the joint bends.
-Had been radiating toward & around thumb before I started periodically icing wrist & taking advil throughout the day (which I started doing yesterday) - icing & advil hasn't seemed to help pain on top/back of wrist

Pain made worse by (in order from most pain to least pain):
-Bending my wrist down/forward (like if i hold my arm straight out with my palm down & bend hand so it becomes perpendicular to the floor)
    -Bending wrist up/backward
    -Bending wrist out/toward pinky finger
-no pain bending wrist in/toward thumb

Realized this morning it is definitely more stiff/sore in the morning, but not a huge difference.

    any ideas?

    Hi
I have the same injury that you talk about here, how did you go about treating this?
