Just a bit of background, I compete in MMA and Kickboxing and am hypermobile. I've had pain in my groin on and off for about 8 weeks (mainly right side) and have been working on improving my core stability and posture. The adductors are quite strong and haven't really lost the strength they had pre-injury and are still flexible (I can comfortably bring my knees to the ground doing a butterfly stretch). However, there is tenderness/borderline pain which has flared up in my right side, it seems to be right at the top of the leg and quite deep down. I tend to feel it more when resting or after kicking at above chest height, but it never graduates into bad pain and the mobility isn't really lost; the only time I feel any pain stretching it is when working towards box splits, but I have been avoiding them.
Any advice? Is it safe for me to train with this if the pain isn't debilitating. Thank you in advance!
