Foot - Anterior - Left
Hi
I have a case where upon running on a treadmill, the patient starts to experience aching pain on the anterior medial side of the left foot (just below the big toe).
This pain also occurs when playing football for example and there is a rapid change in direction upon contact with left foot. The patient experiences pain to the point that it is impossible to carry on.
Patient is 29 years old, also experienced similar pain in sport at a young age of 14-15, but as soon as activity stops, pain seems to go away. Upon resuming activity, pain comes back.
Any suggestions?
What assessment can I carry out to find out more?
Sorry forgot to add, patient also suffers from very tight hamstings.
Many thanks
