Hey, long story short about a year ago probably overtrained by running, cycling and weighted leg excercises. After a longer run, felt sharp pain surrounding my hip and knee, which originated from hamstrings and glutes. Pain persisted for about 4-5 months, kept me from all types of sport. It mostly looked like a hamstring strain and my therapist adviced to let it rest. I involuntary developed a habit of putting most of my weight on the healthy leg. This imbalance created some kind of limp and even after the injury has healed, walking is still uncomfortable and running is impossible due to weird gait and flawed biomechanics of the affected leg. While walking i feel that the healthy leg is placed and the centre of gravity and supports all of the body, and the affected one just like tags along without muscles absorbing impact through the kinetic chain ( after long walks ankle and knees become painful).
Just moved to another country and thinking about finding a physiotherapist, but due to financial reasons wondering if i could fix this myself. I want to get back to more active lifestyle, what would be the course of actions to treat this kind of problem?

Thank you ind advance.
