I suppose the first thing is to dig a little deeper into the history of the 'injury'. Was this the first time you had strained the hamstring muscle? And could you explain what it was that you did to cause the injury. It will help me to understand if this is a true injury to the hamstring muscle or if it might be a referred pain into the hamstring region that could be due to other structures or areas. If you can provide a little more information others might be able to provide further insight.
