Help what is wrong with my legs???
				Hello all,
I have recently started having pain in my lower legs as I walk.
The muscle effected seems to be the "Extensor Digitorum Longus", they become extremely tight on both sides and after 10mins of walking I have to stop to a few minutes to massage the area.
I have tried stretching and massaging the area before walking to no avail.
I really dont know what is causing it!
Does anyone have ideas what is causing this?
Thank you in advance.

Can we have a bit more information about your age and activity, how long this has been going on and if it stops when you rest?
Are you diabetic or is there a family history? This could simple be some stress to one of the neural structure that supply that muscle group either locally or a more distant referral from the low back.

...ok...well I am 34 not to active but getting better as I have had a lower back problem which is almost fixed after several visits to a chiro...I have had this (left lower lateral) problem for about a year. It only hurts when I walk or try jogging.
No one in my family is diabetic or has had it.
Will my lower back problem ( leftsacroiliac joint) be the cause?../any ideas on a fix?...it becomes really strained almost impossible to walk after 10-15mins.

I would be confident this is your back issue in play here. I suggest you go back and tell your chiro, or if no luck on that front get into a good physio asap.
