Hi all
Just turned 33. Used to be very healthy, but this long term back injury, coronavirus and then finally appendicitis changed that...!
I've been struggling with back pain for 2 years now - almost all of it has been specific to my right hand side. The pain can travel a lot on the right and make it difficult to do basic tasks sometimes, but can also be quite specific to one location.
This first started with a back injury from reaching/twisting with a screwdriver in November 2019. I had MRIs in June 2020 and they didn't find anything.
I've seen different osteopaths, physios, gone for massages, been doing yoga, pilates stretches, gentle band work etc. but the pain remains and on some days can be really bad.
The pain can be quite specific to one point/location on my back, marked in red in the photo below. The pain will get worse and more specific to that location when I arch/round my back and then even worse if I push my shoulders/arms away from me - for example, doing a seated row and rounding my back would be very painful (I know this is bad form, but just trying to explain).
Can anyone tell me what muscle/what else is in this location and does anyone have any ideas of exercises I can do to address this?
Thanks so much
Jeremy
