    Brief Medical History Overview

    Knee pain

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
I have recently developed really bad knee pain - when going to stand up or sit down, going downstairs or straightening my leg. GP tells me to put up with it....
doesnt seem right to me. Going upstairs there is a loud crunching/grinding noise. If you hold the knee you can feel the grinding. Funnily enough during exercise there is hardly any pain - but afterwards it gets bad.

Any help appreciated as the doctor told me it was probably my age and I should stop exercising.....and put up with it.!!! Not a solution as its painful

No way! Is this GP in the stone age?

Don't stop exercise, but consider modifying activity, it would be helpful what you do.

Why is your age an issue, research has consistently shown that age does not matter when it comes to living a healthy pain free life.

    Regards
