There may be more damage than just the fractures such as tendon or ligament damage that was not picked up or ignored because the fracture was thought worse. Soft tissue injuries are often more troublesome than a fracture.

Thank you for replying to my post. I will take your advice and visit my dr. You say that there may be tendon or ligament damage due to the swelling. Is there anything that can be done about that or is it something that I wll just have to put up with??? what are the implications for this, if this is the case? i wasnt really given any advice once the plaster was off that was it as far as the hospital was concerned. will let you know how i get on many thanks nikki32uk
