I am looking at working in Oman (from oz) and would appreciate any feedback regarding how to gain registration and/or past experiences of anyone who has worked there

You will have to work through the following steps to gain registration to work in Australia.

1. Access the Aecop website www.uq.net.au\aecop (please note the forward slash before aecop). Click on Eligibility and Skills Assessment Forms- Down load PDF form.

2. Fill out form and return it to Aecop.

3. Await advice from Aecop as to what is required from you. This will most probably involve examinations and will take some time.

4. Once you have AECOP registration, you will have to apply to the registration board in the state you wish to work.

5. Obtain a working visa from the Australian Embassy in your capital city.

6. Keep in contact with The Placement Company as to your progress. We will begin a recruitment search as your registration clearance nears.
