Hi Mansi,
U have 2 be very careful 2 choose the universities frm aus as many of them have recognition problems overseas.i think uk is good enough for MPT.
u can work parttime as PTA in some clinic while continuing pg.
if ur really keen for pg abroad go 4 full term courses that are of 16mths durn.
regarding specialisn ur choice & intrest r most imp.
if u want 2 enter rehab field and settle abroad then u shd go 4 MPT in Rehabilitation or neuro.
ortho is good for OP clinics & private practice.
hope this helps,
keep ur quest on..
arkesh.
hi arkesh,
thank you for the advice.after hearing to wat you said, ill keep in mind abt the recognisation of universities,
thanks for the information you sent coz some of it i heard for the first time

hi mansi,
even i'm thinking of MPTin UK.
so i'll keep u informed abt the procedure & future developements.
tk cre & all the bst,
ark.
hello mansi and arkesh,
well nice to see that you both are going in same direction, keep directing each other untill you get a perfect settlement.
if you want to do pg from uk than first of all you get registered with hpc(health professional council) of uk as with out it you will get so much loop holes n probs during your studies.if you need to get information about some uk universities than ill send you the list publised in nhs website.
one thing which is most important for you is to clear ielts(with atleast band 6.5 or 7) because this is one of the leading requirement to study or work in uk. i have so much other imp infos for study or working in uk so keep in touch and get me informed for further queries freely.
hi swapnil,
thanks 4 informn about hpc during MPT which i was not aware of.
can u pls send the list & rating of universities for PG in uk.
i'll be in touch with u in future.
thanks again,
regards,
ark..

hello arkesh and mansi,
Hope every thing would be running cool in your lives, and mansi how was ur visit with dr. ali irani. i feel jealousy with you that you got the opportunity to meet the biggest icon in indian physiotherapy field.any ways i have sent you the follwing link of nhs careers web site which will have the list of leading universities of uk. for your convenience i must tell you that search the new two years masters course of physiotherapy of birmingham university. it is the best one out.
http://www.nhscareers.nhs.uk//nhs-kn...data/4974.html
and both buddies what's the status of your ielts preparation, are you going to give it in recent days,
im giving imphasis and keep you reminding about it as you cant even apply to uk for anything unless untill you get ielts cleared
secondly after clearing ielts aplly to hpc for registration(for howto and whereto apply ill guide you)
and mansi i suggest you also to get registered with hpc even if you do mpt from manipal or any other univ. in india as this will open an option for you in getting job in uk as we all are aware about physio life in india. and getting registered before your mpt will help you out to prove hpc that you continued your knowledge gain after graduation which is the essential part to get continued membership with hpc even after the tenure of two years. if you did not understand this ill clear you afterwards or you will yourself get understood when you will aplly to hpc.
best of luck
regards
swapnil
hi swapnil

hi,
as swapnil told applying 4 hpc beforehand is good but first it is necessary 2 get certified by UK Naric.
Regards,
Ark..
hi arkesh,
if you get registered to hpc you need not go any where else.
hpc is the full governing body for physiotherapists and other medico professionals
physicians and surgeons need gmc registrations and uk naric
contact hpc for more details. ya after being accepted by hpc you might apply for csp.
thats enough for a physio to get settled there
anyways best of luck and take care
regards
swapnil
hi,
thanx 4 the informn.
i didn't knw that & was about to apply 4 naric.
regards
ark..
hello arkesh,
Swapnil might be true.BUT i still think you must confirm first that we would go without registration with uk naric. im saying this because i was being informed by some body that its necessary.
Hi guys
I am naveen a HPC registered therapist, now a days one dosen't need any naric certificate to apply for HPC. If your +2 have english as 1st language u don't need an IELTS either. The registration process takes apprx 6-8 m and u may have to show 1-2 y exp to get a seat in uk univ.. and the job
oppurtunities for u.grad students is really hope less.so guys be handy and get on to work soon.
If u have any specific doubts u can post me here or mail me to [email protected]
these are the CSP approved programmes in UK..

hello mansi,
its great to see you again.i hope you will be in regular countact from now. the things you asked are too long and brief for discussion.so i feel for a live chat.do you have a yahoo id.if yes than give me or send messege to my yahoo in swapnil_handa85. inform me before you log on to net so we will be in contact
about my plans. i might have told you earlier that my grand parents are in nottingham uk and some close relatives too.so its confirmed for me to get there. but its the tuffest job as the conditions for physios in uk is worst in the world.secondly i cant afford to get masters from there as its enough costly.
so i am working hard to get some sources to be there.
hi mansi
I would also like to knw if there are any good colleges for doing MPT in india. If not govt even the private. wht is the fee structure like. i am doing my final year BPT in Bangalore and my exams are round the corner. If you hav any infor pls pass on........Candice
