Another new Physio grad and myself located in Canada are looking for a lifestyle change from the Canadian prairies and have decided New York is the place to start. We have both been chatting with some international recruiting companies but have kind of felt in the dark regarding how much we should expect as far as compensation. Neither of us are really money driven people but we just don't want to arrive in New York after signing for a year contract only to learn we're making way less than everyone else we're working with. I have heard a lot about how expensive New York can be to live (and a few rental searches have verified this haha) and while I don't expect to be rich I would like to be able to have some money to enjoy the city when I'm not working.

The numbers we have been offered so far have been between 52 - 60k / year. Is this about what we should expect? I am mainly ortho focused while my friend has an interest in peds.

Thank you greatly for any guidance you can give
