    achilles bursitis

i went over on my ankle 2 weeks ago. Affecting the lateral side and a tiny bit on medial. I was back in exercise a few days later. So it wasnt bad.
Anyway, a week later. I got bursitis on my medial heel. Where the tendon attachment is.
Iv been reading books and some says heat some says ice. Iv been doughnut bandaging it which is good. Is there anything else i could do???

Oh and could this be from my strained ankle.

    Re: achilles bursitis

the old heat v ice debate...

ultimately, try both, see which allows you to continue rehab. Rehab is probably key long term as you want to strengthen the muscles to stabilize the weakened joint

    Re: achilles bursitis

Tried heat and ice. Heat seems better.
Would ultra sounds be any good.
And just basically cross fibre the hell out of it in terms of massage.
