    University of Queensland

I am applying to UQ to study a graduate entry Masters in Physiotherapy. the website is a bit vague on the facilities and teaching personnel in the department.

I wonder if any of you have attended UQ at either undergraduate or postgraduate level and can give me a bit of insight into the place, teaching styles and standards.

    I'm applying from Ireland
    thanks a million

      Re: University of Queensland

      Hi,
Can I just ask how you would be funding this study?

I would LOVE to apply to QU but tuition fees are way too high :-(!
Still dreaming of some amazing scholarship that may exist somewhere out there....

well I've a bit of money saved and then a mega bank loan. I just wanna get in really and then take it from there.

I think you should apply and see if you get in. Work your options out then.Never any harm in trying.

      Re: University of Queensland

      Hi Abuffet

I did my Master Degree in University of Queensland. The university houses some of the pioneers in the field of physiotherapy like Gwendolen Jull, Caroline Richardson- you could see theyre names on numerous research articles on Neck and Back pain. The head of the school is Bill Vincenzino another pioneer in Sports therapy. Paul hodges is another well known person with numerous research articles in his name. The University has an excellent research team and facilities on par with other premium universities in Australia. They also have Jenny Nitz in geriatric physiotherapy, Julie Mcdonald for pediatric physiotherapy, Nancy Low choy in neurological physiotherapy, Pru Galley for research, Dr.Vaugn Kippers for anatomy. These are a few famous names i could remember.

Courses and Programs at The University of Queensland, Australia

you could see the list of course covered for the graduate entry masters in UQ.

regarding facilities and lifestlye in UQ, you can look into this webpage

Life at UQ - UQ International, The University of Queensland, Australia

Hope the information is useful. Please feel free to ask me if you need more information... Life in UQ was wonderful experience for me. Hope and wish the same with you i.e. if you get selected for the course and decide to take it on in UQ. Goodluck mate

      Cheers
