    just wonder what kind of EPA will we give to pt which has CTS(sub-acute)?any other Rx or Mx we can give to them?

    Arhhh. Yes Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I would suggest you need to look at why the wrist tendons, median nerve and carpus is involved. Usually one might consider it is due to poor core trunk stability, combined with poor shoulder/scapular stability - that gives rise to overuse of the forearm in activity. The may also be a genetic predisposition (anatomically). I would address the more central stability factors if you are looking for a longterm proactive and preventative fix!!

    Agree with the previous reply. Have a very close look at the cervical spine segmental function - the possible exception for this is a pre/post natal mum.

    There's not alot that you can do for CTS conservatively outside making them a cock up splint (wrist in 0 to 10 degrees extension) out of thermoplastic. The splint is to be worn during the day, and at night, too, if they have bad symptoms at night. If symptoms are not relieved by the splint, they will have to get it surgically released. (They should have conclusive nerve conduction tests done to confirm that they have CTS, first, though!)
