York St John Vs Bradford Uni

Hi

I am currently applying to York st John and Bradford Uni to do Physiotherapy. Would really like some feedback on which one I should accept if I was lucky enough to be offered a place! Which is best etc? Will it have a bearing on whether a future employee may choose you for interview?

Any feedback would be much appreciated!!

Hey,

I'm a first year at Birmingham and checked out York St. John whilst I was applying, so can only give you my impressions or I'm afraid! Didn't look at Bradford :/

York seemed like a really nice place...the uni was a little small for me but it depends on what you're after. I don't know what grades you're hoping to get but York we asking for BBC/BCC last year and that was pretty low compared the the AAB/ABB of the Cadiffs and Birminghams etc. But they seemed to be pretty organised and the course looked good so I don't think you can really go wrong! Probably not much of a help but ah well!

Thanks for your reply. I am applying to Leeds Met as well, I live in Harrogate and am going to be living at home so hence applying to local universities. I am a mature student I did a degree in Psychology initially but then decided I want to go down the physio route now.

I looked round York and I like York (as a place) better than Bradford but have heard good things about Bradford.

Have you applied for the course yet / been to the open days? Both of the universities are quite good and the content covered is useful to. If you wanted I could get you in touch with some students at those universities or could ask them on your behalf and give you their feedback? Although york looked like a nicer place than bradford the content of both the courses is quite good. I don't think which of those 2 universities you choose would have a bearing on getting a job.

I did my 1st degree (BioSciences & Health) at Leeds Met in the same dept as the physio course & it's a really good Uni. Leeds is a pretty good place too.

I've been doing my physio degree at Coventry but have had to give up due to health problems, so i've got loads of textbooks etc to sell. If you're interested send me a message & i'll put a list together for you.
