anyone studying at cardiff?

hi,im hoping to apply to cardiff next year ro do physiotherapy.im desperate to get in so would love any info people can give me who have already got in there.what alevels and grades did you get to get in?did you have interviews?had you done much work experience?what sort of things did you put into your personal statement?sorry for all the questions i just want to do everything possible to get in.please help!!!thank you.oh also what is it like there?where have your work placements been etc.id love to hear from as many people as possible.thanks.you could email me direct if you would like to write a big reply. Hey Dawn. Sorry I'm a student at Manchester not Cardiff, but hope I can help anyway. The most important thing to do is get plenty of work experience. Write off to all the hospitals, health centres and private practices in your area. If you still can't get any, physio's also work for large organisations like John Lewis and House of Fraser and in sports clubs - so you could try asking these for a placement. The more experience you get, the better you'll understand what the role of a physio is, which will really help you when you come to apply. Not sure about Cardiff, but at Manchester they interview all applicants. In my personal statement I just but why I wanted to do Physio, what work experience I'd got, the areas that I'd observed and basically details about myself and what I'd done. Try and find out a little about all the different areas that physios work, like Respiratory care, Neurology etc. rather than just knowing a lot about one area e.g. outpatients. Anyway, I hope I've been of some help to you. Good luck for next year.x
