Hi there!
I'm looking for advice in applying for Physiotherapy programs in Australia (practically this would need to be in Sydney or Melbourne) as a Mature Student.
I completed a Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1997 (in the UK) - and am now in the position to be able to take the plunge to follow a life long dream of entering a career that I would love.
While there is information on the web regarding the different Physio programs in Australia - resources for Mature students seems lacking - and its apparent that few courses cater in anyway for the unusual cases of Mature Students.
Really I feel that I need to make contact with the course administrators and directors, to make my case - given that I do not have an ATAR, or other qualifications from Australia. I get the feeling that UK Universities place some value in the life and work experience of a mature student - but get the feeling this is less the case in Australia.
Any advice from current Students, or Physiotherapists, or contacts within the programs would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Keith
