Re: Need Help Selecting Unis in USA for MPT

I went to Florida State University in Tallahassee, and I had a friend who got her PT degree from FAMU uni. I know that it is a good program, however the university is a bit "ghetto".

Try looking into South Florida Uni, I know they have a very good program too.

You do know that they require a ton of pre requisites in order to be accepted and you also have to take the GRE with a min score of 1000 and have a GPA of above 3.0.

Hope I could help. Best of luck

Re: Need Help Selecting Unis in USA for MPT

Here is a list of PT programs that use the PTCAS application process. If you click on the school it will tell you whether or not they run a masters or doctorate program. There are other universities not using the PTCAS application as well.

    Masters or Doctorate?
The masters programs are being phased out in the U.S. Soon all PTs will need a doctorate to practice in the US, and I anticipate this will make it more difficult for visiting physiotherapists to find work. If you have a choice, I'd recommend the doctorate. The programs are virtually the same with the exception of a few more units in the doctoral programs.
