iam going to complete my bacheolar of physiotherapy by next year i.e 2006 sep in india.iam planning to do my master in physiotherapy in UK.can anyone help me about the courses,universities offering this course.

Hi there

I think you need to register with the HPC. There are also some pre-registration courses.
There are colleges like UCL, Kings, Univ of Brighton that offer MSc. The websites of the colleges are very informative and i am sure it will help you.

It's going to odd, until u get ur hpc registration, based on this registration u can do specialized course like in cardio, neuro or musculo. apart from that u can do rehabiltation course which doesn't requires hpc registration as well as sports related courses. u can find these valid college's & university list in HPC website www.hpc-uk.org .

Hi mates try at sheffield hallam. there is a course called Msc in applied physiotherapy. You need not have hpc and it is specifically designed for overseas physio

i think it is very tough to enter without hpc..... and for that u need to prepare for ielts.. but i heard tat without ielts my frd got hpc number using his certificates that he studuied from his basic schooling upto degree level using english as a first language,, hope anyone hav idea of that?????:eek

i think toefl score is also accepeted to get admission into applied physiotherapy in sheefield hallam university......am i right?

theres a university in U.K called sheffield hallam which offer msc in pt and need not to be regestered in hpc before this...

I go to the University of Birmingham and they have just started their MSc in Physiotherapy programme. The info they have on their site is below:

MSc in Physiotherapy (pre-registration)

The aim of this programme is to educate competent practitioners of physiotherapy who will have the knowledge, attitudes and skills required to design, specify and implement wide-ranging, evidence-based physiotherapy programmes for a variety of patients. They will be able to evaluate progress, respond flexibly and promptly to advances in practice and implement research and audit programmes as required.

This programme is designed for graduates and following successful completion graduates will be eligible for registration with the Health Professions Council to practice Physiotherapy in the UK
