    AUSTRALIA or USA

    Hi all, I'm a physio from India want to go 4 a masters programme in a good university. What will you people suggest me to go for, AUS or USA?, when thinking in terms of future career porospects.

    Will be thankful 4 your suggetions.

    Well if you get qualified to work in Australia through Australian Registration, via studying there, the the world is pretty open to you. As for the USA, well if you study there you pretty much are stuck there. i.e. No Aussie, UK, NZ or South African registration. Not even sure if Canada accepts the US undergrad degree?

    The main problem is not what they teach, it is the scope of the actual study - it is far to narrow to satisfy the actual job of a physiotherapist in many other countries.

    but i would like to bring to ur notice that i m a graduate from INDIA in physiotherapy..
    now mwhat will u suggest me to opt for.... and is there any programme in australia which exempts me from ACOPRA exam|I

    IN AUSTRALIA U NEED ACOPRA EXAM

    go do masters australia, then try licence there, if u dont get it, move to states

    or do a dsc pt in s0] tates

    if i get mpt done from australia will i hve not to give ascorp exam to get registered

    i was checking curtin uni and i understand they have a program where an intl physio can get equivalent to an australia degree, and thus might not need acopra

    i am not sure about this

    anyone knows more?

    No one from overseas is exempt from exam for australia.

    actually if you are registered in new zealand and want to work in australia you don't need to do the ACORPA exam- Aus and NZ have an agreement that thier registered physio's can work in either Aus or NZ
