    Axis and Planes....

Hi i am just about to start physio at uni and have been given some pre-reading which most is understandable, but id be very grateful if someone can give some practical examples of some movements that operate through different planes and axis...or even better if you could tell me the axis and planes of movement for the following:

    Flexion of the knee...
    Abduction of the hip...
    Inversion of the foot...

    any help is much appreciated
    thanks
