Hi Everbody
I am working in a Rehab center in Galle, Sri Lanka. It is run by a Non profit organisation "Southern Center for the Disabled". We are in the process of moving into a newly constructed building as our original one was damaged by tsunami in 2004. Presently we are functioning in a temporary rented building. We are planning to expand the existing PT department and currently in the process of buying equipment for the same. The original plan to move to the new building is by the end of NOVEMBER 2006. I would like to know if anyone has contacts for buying equipments in a nominal price or charity organisations, individuals interested in donating a few. The main requirement for our center is bobath plinths, manual therapy beds. But anything related to gait assessment, therapy related equipments, edema management and temporary prosthesis would be great.
Many Thanks
Sam

P.S:The main focus of the center is to rehabilitate Amputees and people needing orthotic management. We use polypropolene technology and most of the appliances are custom made after assessment prescription by qualified PO and PT.
