Question Pain, injury and risk in girl and women soccer players

My research suggests that girl and women soccer players develop their own narratives of pain and injury and therefore learn to 'tough it out'. This includes not going to the physio and playing often with severe pain and possible injury. This is partly to do with not wanting to not play and partly to do with playing what is traditionally a male sport. We sometimes see collusion between players to 'hide' pain and injury.

There is a pdf summary of the research so let me know if you want it (I have attached it but it may not work!). [email protected]

    Dear John.

    The link works!
    Thanks for sharing.
I have read a little on the subject and realize we need to take the fact that girls will mask their pain into consideration more.

    Thanks
    Esther
