hi all
I am currently looking into the physiological benefits of using strength training as an alternative treatment for cervical dysfunction and I am finding it hard to start
Any suggestions on where to start

What I am struggling on is finding the physiology benefits
So, clicking the link I posted and then clicking on the first paper it brings up, the conlcusion states
An endurance-strength exercise regime for the cervical flexor muscles is effective in reducing myoelectric manifestations of superficial cervical flexor muscle fatigue as well as increasing cervical flexion strength in a group of patients with chronic non-severe neck pain.
So, the physiological benefits of their study is that myoelectrical manifestations were reduced, and cervical flexion was increased.
If you then click on the second paper from the link, the conclusion says
Patients who underwent intensive training demonstrated significantly greater endurance levels at the completion of treatment.
So, physiological change here is increased endurance. You could maybe hypothesise that the muscle fibres have changed and grown in size. Maybe you can find a paper backing this up?
Down to you I'm afraid to extrapolate the pertinent bits that you need from papers for your essay.
