    Low Back Pain and Cricket

    Hey everyone,

I am interested in carrying out a research on LBP and its association with fast bowlers in Cricket. But I'm really stuck on whether to focus on acute or chronic LBP.

    Need your help.

    Cheers

go for the acute. think would be best to find out more about it in the early phase as once it becomes chronic then the treatment options and outcomes are less optimistic. focus on screening and early identification and rehab? not even sure if its been done? good luck

You should look at the technical or biomechanical model of the actions, such as front on - side on - mixed. Study them and look into the stress specifically mixed action during back foot contact / trunk position at the point of delivery and follow through. These will give you an idea about LBP AND FAST BOWLING.
