Pain in knee and quad muscle after working out

    Hi all.
I signed up on here to maybe find out if you guys could help me with a problem I have.
I work out in my garage maybe 4 times a week and as part of that I do squats and deadlifts to strengthen my back.

I sometimes have sore quads after I have completed them and although I can still walk I am worried in case it is something serious I should actually be worried about.

I normally put an ice pack on it and im ok after a few days. But does my story ring alarm bells for you guys? My sons say I shouldnt be worried.

Any help would be much appreciated

    Daniel

Re: Pain in knee and quad muscle after working out

If there is any swelling, you need to reduce it using ice. Next, you need to release muscle tightness by foam rolling your legs. Also, strengthen the tibialis anterior. Hope this helps, lemme know about the progress.

    Taping
It's normal to have sore muscles after you work out. an ice pack wrapped in a thin towel is best for immediate relief.
