    Question Building shoulder muscles?

Hi, I'm a rugby player, and in February I injured my right rotator cuff in my shoulder. I spent 2 and a half months out and a month and a half later I have now injured the muscles in my left shoulder. (Both impact injuries) I ahve made the decision to try and build my shoulder muscles in the off season after I have recovered from my most recent injury, to prevent further injuries (hopefully).

All that being said, what is the best way to build up my shoulder muscles?

    Thanks in advance,
    Tom

    Re: Building shoulder muscles?

    Taping
I have enlisted some exercises that you can perform to build shoulder muscles:

    • You must start with a seated overhead dumbbell press and follow the following routine: 2 sets of 5-7 reps.
    • After that push the dumbbells over the head up to the point where your elbows almost lock and then slowly bring them down to your shoulders.
    • For the second routine, you need to stand dumbbell side laterals and do 1-2 sets of 10-12 reps.

    Hope this helps.
