    Compartment Syndrome Help

    hi all

I am desperate for some vie please on a condition I have been suffering with for some time. I am a personal trainer and fire-fighter so I am extremely active. I have developed what I have self-diagnosed as compartment syndrome over the last few years and just recently it is getting unbearable. When I start to walk for more than a few minutes in duration my side shins swell badly. ( tibialis Anterior muscle). I also have two quite large “bulges/Lumps” in veins on the lower outer leg that grow in size when exercising and become quite solid and swollen. Throughout prolonged exertion i.e power walking/running I start to lose the lift of my ankle joint and become very heavy footed. I also have a distinct stiffness and pain down the peroneus muscle. I have spoken to the gp before regarding this but it seems to be getting worse to the point I can’t properly exercise or walk for longer durations. What is the best solution to this problem, I know there is a test to confirm compartment syndrome, then a surgical operation?

Any help please is much appreciated
