hi all
i am looking for some advice for a friend. I work in a gym and an elite powerlifter there tore his pectoralis major tendon a year ago where it inserts onto humerus. he has been told that if he has surgery at this stage the pec will always be much tighter than the other one as from the period since the original injury which happened while benching the tendon has shrivelled back. This person is keen to find out if surgery will improve and restore the full function of the muscle through reattachment. he has said there is a place in birmingham where a surgeon does specific pectoralis tendon repair. I would be very grateful if any one has advice or information on this and if generally surgical repair of the tendon is successful.
regards adrian c
