Hi all,

Just to drop a line and remind physios comming to australia that it is better to contact the physio clinic directly rater than go through the recruitment agencies. The ones to avoid are wavelength internation, reed jobs, clinical one and medical staffing jobs internationaal. 25% - 40% minium of you weekly salary/wage will go to these guys so check the apa website, seek jobs website physiobob of course and my careers website as this is where most privtate practice will advertise. I recommed this because if you go direcxtly through the employer you will be funded for very good CPD courses but if you go through the agencies you will be made work very hard as your employer is paying a third party and the employer will make you work for it!! Also agencies are not directly linked to hospitals or private, if they see an advert from the hospital they will also advertise the same a job and if you app;ly throught them its like they sell you to the hospitals/private.

Not long ago I have contacted wavelengh intl. regarding a job in Australia. They have a nice website and all, and I thought it would be better and easier to find a good position through them...guess not!
