Hi,

I'm just trying to plan ahead...

I'm doing a Physiotherapy degree in the UK but plan to migrate to Perth to work as soon as I can after graduation. I'm Australian so there are no visa problems.

I was under the impression that the UK Physiotherapy degree qualification wasn't quite acceptable for working as a Physiotherapist in Australia. Is this still the case?

What options would a UK Physio student have for working in WA? Could I work in some capacity as a Physio and take the Australian exams part time? is that feasible? Can you get an organisation to sponsor this in some way?

How about doing a full time course to get any necessary Australian qualifications? Does this make sense? How much would that cost roughly !? (I've seen some courses at Curtin for example - are there alternatives?)

Thanks very much for any help or advice you can provide.

John
