Hi,
I am also looking to link up with people that are writing in May 2013. I am also not currently in Canada.
Has anyone had feed back about their exam site allocation?
Thanks

Hi,
If you go to the Canadian Alliance web site there is a blue print of everything you need to cover. I am using the NPTE study book also, but you need to realize that the Canadian exam is not the same as the American one. From taking the Uni of BC course you discover that there are a lot of differences in techniques, values etc, also different areas of treatment, drugs used, terminology etc. If you have time you may find doing the online Uni of BC course Helps. I was trained in the UK, for example in using manipulations, their terminology is the reverse of what we use!
On the Alliance web site there is also a reading list, many of those books are helpful, but you have to be careful with the values in some of them as they are the US values which vary from the Canadian. I found the Canadian ones vary from the UK ones. Happy days. Have you also checked out the professional stuff, search for the physio register in the province you are considering working and you can read up on it there.
They say you receive exam pk 2 weeks before exam! A friend has just received her confirmation today, but not the exam pack.
Hope this helps and good luck.
PS Where are you sitting your exam?
Hi, I have read your comments about the BC course for preparation and I am thinking of joining it for July 2013 session. I have one more question if you or anybody else can answer this. In the new Candidate handbook of 2013 it's mentioned that there will be maximum 3 attempts for both written and clinical exam , while in 2012 handbook it's clearly mentioned that a candidate has maximum of 3 attempts per component. I am very confused as if it's only 3 attempts for both components combined then it will be tough job to do.
