    Question License to ultrasound?

Advertise your physiotherapy job on Physiobob's Job
Finally got my APC after spending tons of time and money. Paid the full NZD250.00 and my APC is only valid from 30 December 2010 till 31 March 2011...and I just received in on 7 January 2011. Shouldn't the fee be pro-rated?

Well, at least the board pro-rated the my hours of CPD.

So, I am applying for a job and on the form, there's a question about whether I have license to ultrasound. What is that license?

    Re: License to ultrasound?

    Hi,
congratulations first an welcome to NZ.

The fee for the APC covers the administration cost - therefore, there is no pro rata option.
The Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand > Frequently Asked Questions About Annual Practising Certificates

The Ultrasound license used to be a seperate clause and was included and mentioned on the APC. This is no longer done this way - everyone with registration is permitted to perform Ultrasound. My last APC with the Ultrasound license noted was from 2004/2005. So, I presume, the application form which you have been send has never been updated. Hillarious!

    Regards,

    Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks also for clarifying the license. For a while, I thought I was suppose to apply for another separate license to ultrasound...after using ultrasound for 10 years!
