Falling short in the FCCPT Evaluation

I appreciate this may be difficult to answer but i know someone out there has the answers.

Whate happens when applying to the FCCPT and your general education of other areas fall short in the scoring system. How do you top up the marks to meet the requirments? Do you have to sit courses in the US or outside the US? I feel it is a lot of money to pay the FCCPT to have my credentials evaluated if there is no way of ever meeting there requirements from the UK.
    Any answers please reply, Thanks.
