International Recruitment Agencies UK or USA Based. No more bad experiences please!

    Hi
Im Mike, a UK trained physiotherapist (grad 2008). I am looking to move to the states and have begun the long and painful process of obtaining VISA/ licence etc

I was hoping to link up with an agency that can offer support both financially and administratively
For the last 2 months i have been using JEA International, which is based in the US and was recommended by a friend

I have by my own admission been far to reliant and trusting of JEA who have proved to be highly MISLEADING and UNRELIABLE

Does anyone know of any other agencies I can try. I am fully aware and willing to sign a contract of 2-3 years once I am confident that I can trust the company

    hope you can help

    kind regards
    M

    Interseting..!!!Your remarks about JEA..please spill some beans..for
the sake of more information about JEA..
Why should you be..after any agency..??
there are many sites..like career builder.com or indeed.com or PT jobs.com
pick up direct employers post them..your credentials..what ever you currently possess..exactly as..you have right now..and request them for
    sponsorship..you are sure to click..on ...a good employer..directly
on your own..Give it a try..

Re: International Recruitment Agencies UK or USA Based. No more bad experiences pleas

I believe HCL International are now recruiting in the USA. They have one job in Texas on Physiobob.com right now. Perhaps email their contact and check out their website some more. They have been around for a long time.

Also for the record if you are going to provide negative feedback about a recruiter then please be a little more specific if you have a true grievance. This then provides something useful for people to work with if dealing with that company. If you just aren't happy in general then perhaps then the forum isn't the place to post it. i.e. State your problem so it can be addressed by another party or don't state anything. You friend I would think found the company you mention useful hence their recommendation. Your comments of
    highly MISLEADING and UNRELIABLE
seems the opposite. Examples to explain would be useful.

Re: International Recruitment Agencies UK or USA Based. No more bad experiences pleas

    hi guys

    thanks for your feedback

i meant 'misleading' because they told me they had a job for me but then gave me know further feedback despite further attempts at email/telephone contact
i meant 'unreliable' because they never respond to emails or messages
i also found them unprofessional. one agent told me she 'loved me' after a brief telephone call. i find it hard to believe this is just a regional mannerism

it was not a deliberate assault. i just felt it appropriate to let people know my opinion. the process is difficult enough without wasting further time on bogus leads

thanks for the advice sudarsen. i plan to attempt what you have suggested. i turned to an agency because from what i have been told I need to apply for the level 1 fccpt evaluation before people will even consider me. this costs 750 USD not to mention any further re-eval costs. i feel i really may need financial support on this one

    kind regards
    Mike

Advertise your physiotherapy job on Physiobob's Job
    Hi Mike

Have you tried Australian Nursing Network? They are willing to take on UK physios willing to commit to a 3 year contract and sort out all the sponsorship bits.

How are you getting on with the process??

    James
