Brazilian PT about to start FCCPT process to work in Massachusetts

    Hi everyone,

My new wife is Brazilian and is starting the FCCPT application. She has a degree in Fisioterapia from UNIFESP and is a licensed PT in Brazil.

Are there any Brazilians here who have had success/problems with FCCPT, specifically for Massachusetts?

    Thanks!
    Drew

    Hello Drew,
I am not from Brasil, but I've been dealing with Massachusetts health allied professioanals board for a while now. Your wife has to apply for type I certificate with FCCPT. The MA accepts ONLY Type I, despite the fact that she has a Green Card, doesn't she? It's good that she holds a valid license to practice PT in her home country. Also, she should provide the FCCPT with all the possible documents so that they count her general education courses..
Let me know if you need more info. I am in the same shoe, submitting documents at the moment.
