Masters PhysioTherapy Program from USA (1 year) eligible for license?

    Hi,

I have a question regarding the 1 year Physiotherapy masters program from the Univ Of Pittsburgh. Will getting this degree count towards the credential processing once I apply for getting clearance to take The NPTE OR the credentials will only be evaluated from my bachelors program from India.

    Thanks,
    Kumar.

Hi. Even if you do masters you still need to do extra credits. Masters would just give extra professional credits, which you have already fulfilled with your bachelors in India. What you lack is general credits. You would lack around 42 general credits. And about 1 specific professional credit. All these credits can be done from India from any university.

Secondly all your degrees will be evaluated in fact if you have done extra degrees they too will be evaluated. completing credentials is necessary for type 1 certificate. for NPTE you are already eligible with your bpt. But in turn it would be better if you get type 1 first.
