    Question Working in the US

I am thinking of going to live and work in the US, preferably in California. I am an Australian physiotherapist currently working in the UK. Does anyone have any information on registration, visa needed, and processes that I will need to go through and information I will need to know. Thanks, any help or useful websites or info would be great!!

    Re: Working in the US

I have Physical Therapist position in California. We sponsor Australians for E-3visa, and have Australian PT's currently working with us.

You should be able to obtain E-3 visa in London after all necessary process is completed.

Work towards US credentialing, exam and obtaining a PT license, after that Sponsorship is easy. If you have any more question, please feel free to contact me @ [email protected]

    Re: Working in the US

    Hello Valarmathi

From your name I could guess that you are from Thamizh nadu, Valarmathi is a pure Thamizh name. I'm happy speak to a thamizh maghal who is so far from the mother country. Definetly you have a solution.

To get a H1B you have to contact an employer who can give you PT job in your desired location

To get a PT job in U.S you have to apply for credentiling agents for which the collage in which you have studied have to send the transcript and syllabus.

The board will evaluate and approve you for Lisence Exam [NPTE] but for lisence exam you should have TOEFL sore , here is the problem , in TOEFL you have to get 26 out of 30 in speaking session, this is really like taming a wild horse.

Then you have to sit for NPTE exam literally that is the second horse, All the best for your success.

I forgot to say you one more important step for Indian PT's that is while credentialling we will have a lack in Gerenral education credits. that can be cleared by special education such us CLEP or IBP . that's what I'm doing now

For further information better mail me <[email protected]>
