Smile General credits required for Maryland

    Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and I would like to know regarding the general credits required for Maryland. I've applied for credential evaluation and I'm sure i'll be short of some credits. Can I start doing some courses now itself so that I won't be wasting my time? If so, what courses are supposed to be done and from which university? Can anyone help me out in this? Thanks in advance...

Re: General credits required for Maryland

hey ...i have also given my documents frm MD state thru ICD,, all i will suggest u to give a call to MD state board of physical therapy before doing anything. u must be knowing tht there is no requirmnt of TOFEL scores frm our state n call thm to knw how many credits r acceptable thru CLEP courses as it varies frm person to person. n abt ur question, ya u cn do sumthings n advance like cumplting credits thru CLEP or doing research methodology whch surly v fall short off as prafessional credits n aalso search various counties(community colleges) whch r acceptble by our state board(get it confirmed on phones first b4 joining for any course)

    ALL THE BEST !
do let me knw in case u knw any otr additional Information.

    Thanks

If you have sort of credits you should move to another side. There are many courses available on line. You can select a course as you please.

Re: General credits required for Maryland

Why to go for online course, they never give credits for subjects requiring practicals and also for that one has to go USA.We all know that after 1 April,2008 the FSBPT has further increased the GE and professional credits limits. Indian PTs still do not lack in professional credits by in large but G.E credit has been a prob for them.IBP course is of 6 months and its conducted in one of the best institute in India, thats CIIS. It is located in Punjab, near Chandigarh. This course is most updated according to new FSBPT requirements and is approved by ICD and FCCPT and other credentialing bodies. After finishing this programme , one will be be making up for GE credits, required for most of the states.
The HDS is an Indiana,U.S.A based company and recruitng PTs from U.S.A, Canada,India. You can contact Dr S.Sandeep,PT at <[email protected]> He is the recruiting manager for HDS in India. He is a Sr. Physiotherapist and can relate to our problem very well providing with the best possible solution. Besides this company is solely focus for PTs unlike others which are recuiting nurses also.
