NQPT 2011 looking to work abroad in Hong Kong or Singapore

    Hi,

    I'm after some advice really.

I am curious about working abroad for perhaps 2 years following graduation in the next summer 2011. I will be newly qualified UK trained physio, so won't have the 2-3 years' experience that many developed countries seem to require. I originally wanted to work in the US or Canada, but I understand this is quite tricky even for experienced physios as it involves exams and a 2+ year portfolio.

I've heard that it may be possible to work on a 12 or 24 month contract as a NQPT in Singapore and still get good CPD and perhaps even rotations. Is this correct?

Does anyone know of anywhere overseas that is looking for newly qualified UK trained physios that don't require years of experience or exams?

Does anyone know whether this applies to Hong Kong?

I don't have languages on my side so it would need to be an English speaking position.

    Many thanks for your help,
    Kat

From what i know you also need to take examinations (written and Clinical) and here's the link below: Nanyang Polytechnic - SHS - Qualifying Exams

First and foremost, you need to have an employer who's willing to sponsor you and once they are interested in you then that's the only time what you can proceed with the examinations. Goodluck and God Bless!! CHEERS!! =))
