    Working on OZ- registration

Advertise your physiotherapy job on Physiobob's Job
    Hi,
I wondered if anyone could help me.

I am moving to Oz with my Australian boyfriend next year. I have been on a career break for 2 years so not worked as a physio in this time but plan to do so when in Oz.

Rather than going through the costly exam process to register for Oz is it still possible to register in NZ and transfer across?

    Many thanks

Yes, I believe you can. There is an agreement between NZ and Australia, accepting each others education as equal. You will still need to get registered in Australia after receiving NZ registration, but it is just a formality and a cost.
You should, however, speed up you registration efforts for NZ, if you plan to do so. They are rather strict on career breakes and don't accept any break longer than 3 years. Good luck.
    Cheers,
