to even hazard a guess at this problem more information is needed,

1. a history of the problem from when it first presented, any other and/or previous problems.
2. what sports/activities you participate in,
3. activities that aggravate it, activiies that ease it,
4. postural issues, range of motion, strength and other ortho testing

I would suggest a second opinion from another physio or perhaps a sports physician,

try rest and icing it down when it becomes a problem.
