Hi there,
When doctors differ - its unnerving. This guy says one thing, the other fella says this. Its upsetting as a patient.
You need someone you can trust and someone who helps. Obviously, if somethings is causing you pain - STOP. If its not helping try something else.
I would suggest finding a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist. At the very least they can tell you if its something they can help with ie if its musculoskeletal or not. At best, they can reduce the pain and discomfort that you're having and improve your function and quality of life.
I will say that many people have narrowed vertebrae - its still treatable. Trapped nerves under your shoulder blade - I'd like to know how he figured out that on. Either way, from the sounds of it, its very treatable.
Until you meet the physio, I would suggest a pain diary.
Mark the diary three times a day, mark your score out of 0-10. 0 - none, 10 worst pain ever imaginable and most importantly what were you doing. So if your head was in a certain position while you were doing a certain task could give hints of whats going on.
Hope that helps - pm me if you wish.
