    Dear Eran,

Are you learning to manipulate the Wikipedia reference-linkfacet joints?
Is this part of the current curriculum to become a physiotherapist?
I sincerely hope you mean mobilisation!
    Please enlighten me.

    Esther

I believe rotation manipulation is the most common.

    Re: Facet joints directions

    Hello Esther,

    Thanks for your reply.
All I'm interested at is the position in space of the facets joints.
I know that as you go down the spine the Wikipedia reference-linkfacet joint's teo aaa are sliding on each other in a different angle and I wonder what this angle is in each are.
    not clinical - just theory...
It is more of a student question asking about the spine anatomy...

    Regards,

    Eran

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
    Hi Pulke,
In cervical spine Wikipedia reference-linkfacet joint is oriented at an 45 degree angle(towards the eyes-horizontal plane).Whereas in thoracic it more vertically oriented. But in lumbar region facet joint is oriented in sagital plane.
This knowlegdge about alignment is more useful when using Mulligan approach.
