    Nubax

    Taping
    Dear Mr.

I am a brazilian physical therapist and acupunctor.
Due to the poor results obtained through conventional treatments in the disk pain and lumbar pains (back ache), I have been researching new forms of conservative treatment.

Recently I could see in the Internet on Nubax http://www.nubacks.com.au/index.html, a traction device developed by an Australian company.

I got in touch with the company to request more information, and scientific works on the device, however the obtained answer was not satisfactory.

I would like to know if you have information about the device effectiveness. If it is really used at physiotherapy clinics and which the real results.

Do you have some other information on devices and/or new forms of disk pain treatment, lumbar pains?

    Thank you, very much.

    Sincerely,

    Dalton Y. Kina Pt.

    Re: Nubax

    Hello Dalton

I recall your enquiry from back in December 2002. At that time the clinical trials were just being established. And the costs were a little prohibitive. However the trials are now complete and we are waiting for the short paper to be published. The results have been encouraging and also corroborate the anecdotal evidence we have seen.

The Nubax PTA is quite unique, in that it is small, simple, inexpensive and yet very effective as an aid in the recovery from and the maintenance of a range of back conditions.

The Nubax PTA is used by medical practitioners such as Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Osteopaths etc, as well as members of the general public.

If you require any further information please visit our web page at www.nubax.com.au or email me at [email protected].

    Best Regards - Ralph Moltoni

    Re: Nubax

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
Having practiced physio for many years using numerous modalities for low back pain, I was excited to take the course in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of back pain. While it doesn't apply to every case of low back pain, it has given the majority of people that I have treated considerable relief. One of the best features is that it gives the client control--they learn how to avoid back injuries and how to deal successfully with them when they happen. For the client it is empowering and takes away the fear of injury that limits their activities. Also, when there is a client who walks in with a lateral shift and leaves straight, the look on their face as if we have accomplished a miracle is amazing. If you haven't already done so, I would encourage you to take a McKenzie course asap, and give your clients the power, rather than adding another modality to your arsenal which makes the client more dependent upon a practitioner for their state of health.
